When an unknown substance called “Burnout Shock” blankets Earth, all fire and energy are disabled, upending modern civilization. Amidst the chaos, Ra Yi loses his mother to the mafia leader Sakan. To survive alone, he takes an experimental pill and becomes a powerful mutant known as a subject. But the side effects are slowly killing him.
